PROMOTIONAL STARTER PACKAGE FOR THE A4Go ELECTRONIC TOLL COLLECTION FOR NEW USERS

'The A4Go electronic toll system collection significantly shortens the time of service at the gates and thus increases the flow of traffic through the toll collection plazas; that is why, we would like this method of payment to be used by as many drivers as possible,' says Rafał Czechowski, Spokesman of Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska SA. 'To meet the needs of those who have not yet used A4Go for various reasons, we offer promotional starter packages for passenger cars that are now cheaper by 40%. This is a good opportunity to try out the electronic toll collection and check out the benefits of this solution,' adds Czechowski.

Until now, when starting to use A4Go, it was necessary to purchase a minimum package of 20 credits along with the unit. From 22 October of this year, the A4Go unit, for which a refundable deposit in the amount of PLN 50 is charged, may be purchased by car drivers along with the initial package of 10 credits entitling them to 10 travels. Thanks to the additional discount of 10%, they will pay a total of PLN 140 for a starter package.

'Car drivers who will decide to use A4Go will pay PLN 18, instead of PLN 20, for the entire travel through the toll section of our motorway. For people who commute to work every day, this means a saving of over PLN 80 a month, i.e. about PLN 1,000 a year,' says Rafał Czechowski.

The time of transaction carried out with the use of the on-board unit is definitely shorter than in the case of other payment methods, and it is about 4 seconds, whereas, for example, the payment by bank card takes about 14 seconds. Special lanes dedicated only to this method of payment also weigh in favour of the electronic toll collection. They are left-most special gates marked in orange, which are characterised by the most efficient flow of traffic. Moreover, the A4Go on-board unit can be used at all other gates of the toll plazas in Mysłowice
 and Balice.

Promotional A4Go starter packages can ONLY be purchased through the website dedicated to this special offer: www.a4go.pl and at the Customer Service Points open on working days from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. These points are located in Mysłowice just behind the gates towards Kraków (ul. Piaskowa 20) and in Balice just behind the gates towards Katowice (ul. Krakowska 104).

The special offer is limited in time - it is valid until 21 December 2018.

Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. manages the 60-km section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway. This is the first fully operational road of this type in Poland, built as part of the public-private partnership, as a brownfield project  on the basis of the road constructed in the 1970s  and 1980s. Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. obtained a license for its adaptation to the requirements of the toll motorway and operation in 1997. It required numerous investments. Unlike other concessions for the management of toll motorways, the project implemented by Stalexport Autostrada S. A. does not burden the State Treasury with any obligations.
