STALEXPORT AUTOSTRADA MAŁOPOLSKA S.A. SUPORTING MODERN PAYMENT METHODS FOR USING THE A4 KATOWICE-KRAKOW MOTORWAY

At the end of the year Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. stops selling paper subscription coupons. A proven alternative for them is the on-board unit for electronic toll collection A4Go that must be bought by drivers who want to save 10 per cent on the cost of using the A4 Katowice-Krakow.

Although from 1 January 2017 it will be impossible to buy subscription coupons for using the A4 Katowice-Krakow, the coupons bought in 2016 will still be valid. This payment method will be accepted on the concession stretch of the A4 till the end of 2017.

– We are endorsing the A4Go electronic toll collection as the payment method that may significantly improve passage time. Customers using subscription coupons so far are encouraged to buy A4Go on-board units – says Rafał Czechowski, the spokesperson for Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A.

A4Go makes it possible to go through the motorway gates quickly without having to give money, cards or coupons to the cashier. Opening lanes dedicated solely to users of the electronic toll collection system, which is currently being prepared, will additionally make passage through the toll plazas more efficient.

Electronic toll collection is not only a more convenient but also a cheaper alternative for subscription coupons. Discount for subscription coupons was done away with on 1 November. And drivers of cars who choose the A4Go system top up their on board units 10 per cent cheaper. Paying for five return passages they save PLN 20.

A4Go on board devices with unit packages may be bought on weekdays from 7.00 a.m. till 9.00 p.m. at Customer Service Points located at toll plazas in Mysłowice and Balice. A4Go may also be conveniently bought via www.kartA4Go.pl.
