STILL SEAFER AND CHEAPER WITH AUTOMATIC PAYMENT METHODS ON A4 KATOWICE-KRAKOW. THE LICENSEE STARTS A HOLIDAY PROMOTION FOR USERS OF THE ELECTRONIC TOLL COLLECTION A4Go
Users of the A4 Katowice-Krakow motorway can enjoy attractive discounts even after New Year's Day. With the electronic toll collection system A4Go, Telepass and Autopay or SkyCash applications, traveling this section is more than 30% cheaper, contactless and safe. Drivers who will switch to the A4Go electronic toll collection any time soon will receive a gift together with the on-board unit as part of the holiday promotion.
Contactless automatic payments are the safest way to pay motorway tolls during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic - you don't need to open your window, hand the cash or a card to the collector and take the change and the receipt. Automatic payments become a preferable option. They account for more than 30 per cent, even 40 per cent at peak times, of total transactions made on the concession section of the A4 motorway
Passenger car drivers who decide to switch to an on-board unit or application pay the same amount of money as they did over ten years ago: PLN 8 on each gate, instead of PLN 12 from the price list. The drivers of vehicles in other categories also pay less - PLN 17 instead of PLN 20 in the case of category 2 and 3 vehicles, and PLN 30 instead of PLN 35 for category 4 and 5. Such tolls will be valid on the A4 Katowice-Krakow freeway also after the New Year's Day.
On 21 December 2020, Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska starts a holiday promotion for new users of the electronic toll collection system - anyone who chooses to pay with the on-board unit will receive a thermal mug as a gift. The promotion applies to on-board units purchased stationary at Customer Service Points in Mysłowice and Balice, as well as bought online via www.a4go.pland is valid until stocks run out. Terms and conditions of the promotion are available at https://www.autostrada-a4.com.pl/aktualnosci/index/Trzmajcie-sie-cieplo-promocja-elektronicznego-poboru-oplat-A4Go/idn:410.
"The motto of this promotion is "Stay warm". This is, on the one hand, a reference to the gift attached to the A4Go, a thermal mug useful for travelling, and on the other hand, our wish for drivers in this difficult time." says Rafał Czechowski, SAM SA's spokesman. "Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic we have been constantly reminding users of our motorway that contactless automatic payments are now the safest way to pay tolls. Installing the application on the phone or the on-board unit in the car is as important prevention as wearing a mask." he adds.
This year, SAM S.A. extended the selection of automatic payment methods for journeys with the SkyCash application and expanded the A4Go electronic toll collection to include the post-paid option. Information about the available options of automatic toll payment can be found at www.automatycznaA4.pl.

Information about SAM SA
Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. manages the 60-km section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway. This is the first fully operational road of this type in Poland, built as part of the public-private partnership, as a brownfield project on the basis of the road constructed in the 1970s and 1980s. Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. obtained a license for its adaptation to the requirements of the toll motorway and operation in 1997. It required numerous investments. All investment projects and current maintenance of road lanes are funded from revenues obtained from the collection of tolls for the concession section and loans received from the international banking consortium. Unlike other concessions for the management of toll motorways, the project implemented by Stalexport Autostrada S. A. does not burden the State Treasury with any obligations. Moreover, it has not received any grants or guarantees of the Treasury.
