1 October 2020 - change of toll rates for category 1 vehicles/ Works on the A4 Katowice-Krakow motorway

Please be informed that from 1 October 2020 the toll rate for vehicles of category 1 (motorbikes, two-axle road vehicles) is to increase by PLN 2 and amount to PLN 12 at each toll plaza i. e. in Myslowice and Balice.The toll rate for a passage with a motorbike will amount to PLN 6.

The changes in the current price list are to be accompanied by the maintenance of the preferential rate for passenger car drivers using the A4Go and Telepass electronic toll collection as well as Autopay and SkyCash applications. From 1 October 2020, they will pay PLN 4 less, i.e. PLN 8, at each gate.

Toll rates for the passage on the above mentioned motorway section with vehicles of other categories, i.e. categories 2 and 3 (PLN 20 at each toll plaza) and categories 4 and 5 (PLN 35 at each toll plaza) will not change from 1 October this year. Also preferential toll rates will be maintained for passages with vehicles of these categories, i.e. categories 2 and 3 (PLN 17 at each toll plaza) and categories 4 and 5 (PLN 30 at each toll plaza).

Passenger car drivers using the A4Go electronic toll collection in the prepaid formula until 30 September 2020 can buy impulses for journeys on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway for PLN 7, with which they will be able to pay for journeys for the next two years.

 A4Go on-board units and impulses can be purchased at www.a4go.pl and at Customer Service Points in Mysłowice and Balice.

CONTACLESS, SAFE METHODS OF PAYMENT

We encourage our customers to use safe, contactless automatic methods of payment: electronic toll collection A4Go & Telepass and also videotolling with Autopay application (in English as well) & SkyCash application available at Google Play and App Store.

For users of automatic methods of payment there are special, dedicated toll gates marked as in the table below (orange gates).

The above mentioned tolls apply at one toll plaza.

WORKS ON THE A4 MOTORWAY, SECTION KATOWICE-KRAKOW

• Resurfacing between the Myslowice junction and the toll plaza in Myslowice at the section of 3 kilometres (km 348.5 - 351.5). There are two narrowed lanes in both directions with a speed limit, however during the introduction of changes in the traffic organisation there will be only one lane. From 19 September it is planned to eliminate changes in the traffic organization on the above mentioned section. During the removal of the marking (at night from 19 to 24 September, i.e Saturday - Thursday), only one lane will be open on the road to Katowice and periodically on the road to Krakow. During the works traffic will be speed-limited.

The exit from the A4 motorway to the S1 road at the Brzęczkowice junction is only possible from the right-hand lane, which runs along the road towards Krakow. Users who choose the left lane along the opposite road (towards Katowice) are not able to take the exit onto S1.

Attention! Possible traffic jams between the Myslowice junction and the toll plaza in Myslowice.

• Resurfacing between the Jelen and Byczyna junctions – changes in traffic organisation at the section of 4 kilometers (km 358,1 – 362,3).  From 13 to 17 September at nights there will be only one line in both directions with a speed limit.

• Sewage system modernisation - until 16 November 2020 change in traffic organisation on the carriageway in Krakow direction before the Balin junction (km 368) at the section of 600 meters. Two narrowed lanes in both directions with a speed limit to 80 km/h.
