Contactless methods of payments: A4Go & videotolling/ Works on the A4 motorway Katowice-Krakow

1. ATTENTION!

Till 26 June 2020, between the Murckowska junction in Katowice and the Myslowice junction the carriageway in Krakow direction will be closed due to modernisation works on a bridge. Traffic will be carried out on the carriageway in Katowice direction:

  • one lane in Krakow direction
  • two lanes in Katowice direction
  • speed limit to 60 km/h.

We apologise for inconveniences and ask for careful driving. Please pay special attention to road signs.

2. CONTACLESS, SAFE METHODS OF PAYMENT

We encourage our customers to use safe, contactless automatic methods of payment: electronic toll collection A4Go & Telepass and also videotolling with Autopay application available also in English at Google Play and App Store. Please be informed that till 30 June 2020 at least, there are preferential toll rates for these automatic payment at the A4 motorway, section Katowice-Krakow.

 The above mentioned tolls apply at one toll plaza.

3. OTHER WORKS ON THE A4 MOTORWAY, SECTION KATOWICE-KRAKOW

  • Pavement repair - on 8 May on the carriageway to Katowice near the Byczyna junction (km 365) only one lane at the section of 150 meters with a speed limit to 80 km/h.
  • Resurfacing - changes in traffic organisation between the Rudno junction and the toll plaza in Balice at the section of 4 kilometers (396 - 400). There are two narrowed lanes in both directions with a speed limit, however during the introduction of changes (from 28 to 30 April at night) there will be only one lane on both carriageways. 
  • Resurfacing at the toll plaza in Myslowice - till October 2020 toll lanes will be temporarily closed: two in each direction. 
  • Resurfucing before the toll plaza in Balice, Katowice direction -  the entry to the toll plaza in Balice will be narrowed to one lane along the road no. S52 (from Krakow) and along the A4 motorway (from Rzeszow).Modernisation works at the bridge at the Myslowice junction (km 347) - till November 2020 two narrowed lanes in both directions with a speed limit.
  • Modernisation works at the bridge near the Brzeczkowice junction (km 349) - two narrowed lanes in both directions at the section of 300 meters. At night on 26 - 27 - 28 April only one lane. Speed limit to 80 km/h.

    Please pay attention to road signs, especially to the STOP sign at the enter to the A4 motorway - slip road Łódź - Katowice at the Mysłowice junction.

  • Sewage system modernisation - till 16 November 2020 change in traffic organisation on the carriageway in Krakow direction before the Balin junction (km 368) at the section of 600 meters. Two narrowed lanes in both directions with a speed limit to 80 km/h.
