Exemption from tolls for non-governmental organisations providing humanitarian aid to flood victims

Due to the occurrence of a flood disaster in our country, considering the need of the moment, Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska S.A. (SAM S.A.) informs that, in agreement with the Minister of Infrastructure, from 21 September 2024 until 31 October 2024 an exemption from tolls on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Krakow motorway is introduced for vehicles or groups of vehicles declared by public bodies and institutions (government and local authorities) and by Polish non-governmental organisations, within the meaning of the Act of 24 April 2003, on public benefit activity and voluntary work, as providing humanitarian aid to flood victims.

In order for such an organisation to obtain a fee exemption, it is necessary to send an e-mail to: [email protected] an application according to the following model:

IMPORTANT:

• sending the above-mentioned application is not equivalent to obtaining a fee waiver. You must wait for an e-mail confirmation that the application has been granted by SAM S.A. or for further instructions,
• requests for exemption from tolls for humanitarian journeys carrying aid for flood victims must be sent at least 24 hours in advance of the start of the day on which the journey is to take place. Requests will be processed Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (including 21 - 22 September 2024 from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm).

Please note: if a humanitarian transit is planned during the weekend or Monday, we kindly ask you to send your application by 4:00 pm on the preceding Friday at the latest.

• Drivers of vehicles that have obtained a toll exemption should use the toll lines marked with a blue sign with the toll collector's symbol when driving through the toll plaza.
• Drivers of vehicles with videotolling or electronic toll collection using the On-Board Unit A4Go / Telepass, should temporarily deactivate this service when passing through a toll station.
