Maintenance works and surface replacements on the A4 Katowice-Krakow motorway

 MAINTENANCE WORKS

Please be informed that on 24 August due to maintenance works the following lanes will be closed:

• on the carriageway to Krakow, km 391.9 – km 392 – emergency lane will be closed from 7 AM to 9 PM
  
• on the carriageway to Katowice, km 392 – km 391.9 – emergency lane will be closed from 7 AM to 9 PM
  
• on the carriageway to Katowice, km 384.3 - km 384.4 – right lane will be closed from 12 AM to 2 PM.

SURFACE REPLACEMENTS

On 26 August surface replacement works will start on the carriageway to Katowice, between the toll collection plaza in Myslowice and Myslowice junction, km 351.5 - 348. There will be two lanes in each direction, however during traffic organisation changes, for a short time, there will be only one lane.

• 26 August from 10 PM to 9 AM the next day - narrowed carriageway to Krakow on the section of 400 m with a speed limit to 80 km/h. 
• 27 August from 6 PM to 2.00 PM the next day - only one lane on the carriageway to Krakow on the section of 1 km and local narrowings on the carriageway to Katowice at km 348 on the section of 400 km with a speed limit 80 km/h.
• from 28 August, 2 PM two lanes in each direction

These works are to be finished by the end of September.

Surface replacement works are carried out on the carriageway to Katowice, between Balin and Jelen junctions, km 362 - 369. There are two lanes in each direction, however during traffic organisation changes, for a short time, there will be only one lane.

15 September is scheduled to begin resurfacing the carriageway to Krakow at the same section. The renovation of that carriageway will be finished on 31 October.

If you want to go Jaworzno (Katowice direction) at Byczyna junction (road No. 79) please drive on the right lane just after Balin junction.
