Works on the A4 motorway, section Katowice-Kraków - update

We kindly inform you about the current traffic problems on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway.

1. Near the Murckowska junction in Katowice, on both carriageways, there are two narrowed lanes along the section of approx. 500 m (km 343) - renovation of the bridge along Mysłowicka street in Katowice.

 The above changes in the traffic organization are planned until September 30, 2022.

2. In Mysłowice, due to the renovation of the bridge over a section of approx. 1 km (from km 347.9 to km 348.8)

•  the carriageway in the direction of Kraków is closed,
• on the carriageway in the direction of Katowice, 2 narrowed lanes are intended for traffic in the direction of Katowice and 2 narrowed lanes for traffic in the direction of Krakow.

The completion of renovation works is scheduled for December 2022.

3. Behind the toll plaza in Balice on the carriageway in the direction of Katowice, due to the repairs of the pavement, there will be narrowing to one lane in sections of about 500 m

• September 13 and 14 from 5 pm until the morning hours of next day , at km 399.5, km 398 and km 397.5.

A speed limit of 80 km / h will be introduced.

4. From 6 to 21 September - works related to the renewal of road markings on some sections of the motorway - narrowing to one lane at night.

5. On the carriageway in the direction of Kraków, between the Chrzanów and Rudno junctions (km 376) on September 11 from 7 pm to 12 September, 6 am there will be narrowings to one lane. Then, from September 12 to October 10, 2022, it is planned to close the emergency lane and part of the right lane. Works related to the reconstruction of the motorway drainage.
