Works on the A4 motorway, section Katowice-Krakow - update

We kindly inform you about the current traffic problems on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway.

1. Near the Murckowska junction in Katowice, on both carriageways, there are two narrowed lanes along the section of approx. 500 m (km 343) - renovation of the bridge along Mysłowicka street in Katowice.

• the carriageway towards Katowice - until October 31, traffic on the section from km 343.4 to km 342.9 will be carried out on the emergency lane,
• the carriageway towards Kraków - until November 3, traffic on the section from km 342.7 to km 343.2 will be carried out on the emergency lane.

2. In Mysłowice, due to the renovation of the bridge over a section of approx. 1 km (from km 347.9 to km 348.8)

•  the carriageway in the direction of Kraków is closed,
• on the carriageway in the direction of Katowice, 2 narrowed lanes are intended for traffic in the direction of Katowice and 2 narrowed lanes for traffic in the direction of Krakow.

The completion of renovation works is scheduled for December 2022.

3. On October 12, after 4.30 p.m. until the morning of October 13 (Wednesday / Thursday), in connection with the repairs of the pavement, there will be local narrowing to one lane and a speed limit of 80 km/h on a section of approx. 300 m on the carriageway towards Katowice in the following locations:

• behind PPO Balice (km 398.5),
•  behind the Jeleń junction (km 359).

 4. Until October 15, due to the repairs of the pavement during the daytime, there will be narrowings to one lane on some sections of the motorway.

5. Until October 22 - works related to the renewal of road markings. here will be narrowings to one lane on some sections of the motorway at night.
