Works on the A4 motorway, section Katowice-Krakow - update

We kindly inform you about the current traffic problems on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway.

1. Near the Murckowska junction in Katowice, on both carriageways, there are two narrowed lanes along the section of approx. 500 m (km 343) - renovation of the bridge along Mysłowicka street in Katowice.

• the carriageway towards Katowice - until October 31, traffic on the section from km 343.4 to km 342.9 will be carried out on the emergency lane,
• the carriageway towards Kraków - until November 3, traffic on the section from km 342.7 to km 343.2 will be carried out on the emergency lane.

2. In Mysłowice, due to the renovation of the bridge over a section of approx. 1 km (from km 347.9 to km 348.8)

•  the carriageway in the direction of Kraków is closed,
• on the carriageway in the direction of Katowice, 2 narrowed lanes are intended for traffic in the direction of Katowice and 2 narrowed lanes for traffic in the direction of Krakow.

The completion of renovation works is scheduled for December 2022.

3. Resurfacing on the Balin junction in Chrzanow at km 369.5 The slip road from Katowice to Chrzanów / Balin is closed. The detour is mapped out by the neighboring Chrzanów junction at km 371.5. Completion of works is scheduled for the end of November this year.

4. On 9 November in the morning - commencement of works related to the resurfacing on the Chrzanów junction at km 372. It is planned to close the slip road from Krakow to Trzebinia. The detour is mapped out on slip roads of the same junction.  Completion of works is scheduled for the beginning of December this year.
