mPay - new application for videotolling on the A4 Katowice-Krakow motorway

mPay is a new application for videotolling - tolls for traveling on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway based on a register plate reading. It provides faster journeys through toll plazas and cheaper car journeys by as much as 25%: PLN 9 instead of PLN 12 at each toll plaza.

The application can be downloaded from: GooglePlay, AppStore and AppGallery.

There are 5 gates marked with a black camera on a yellow background for videotolling users at each of the two collection plaza: in Mysłowice and Balice.

Automatic tolls in mPay require activation of the service in the application. When traveling on the motorway, you do not need a phone with the mPay application, the payment is automatic. Cameras located at the gates read the registration numbers of the vehicle, and the collection system checks whether the car with a specific plate has been registered in the application and automatically raises the barrier.

To use the toll service in the videotolling system with the mPay application, you must have a payment card or funds on mRachunek (option available to users with a verified mPay account).

Owners of the mPay application can also travel on toll sections of state motorways on sections A4 Sośnica-Wrocław and A2 Konin-Stryków, where the e-TOLL payment system operates, without the need to purchase an electronic motorway ticket at stationary points. They will complete the entire transaction in mPay. In addition, the application allows you to pay for parking in over 60 cities across Poland, including Katowice and Krakow, and thanks to the innovations introduced, the driver knows in which paid parking zone is located and what the fee is for.
