Works on the A4 motorway, section Katowice-Krakow - update

We kindly inform you about the current traffic difficulties on the A4 Katowice-Krakow motorway.

On January 10 - a slip road closed from Kraków to Chrzanów. The detour was mapped out by the neighboring Balin junction. Completion of works is scheduled for the end of Febuary this year.

In Mysłowice, in connection with the renovation of the bridge over a section of approx. 1 km (from km 348 to km 349):

• the road towards Krakow is closed,
• on the carriageway in the direction of Katowice, 2 narrowed lanes are intended for traffic in the direction of Katowice and 2 narrowed lanes for traffic in the direction of Kraków.

Attention!

• on January 3, at 6:00 am, part of the carriageway towards Krakow will be opened. Traffic in both dirctions will be carried on two narrowed lanes.
• at night of January 3-4, there will be narrowing to one lane on both carriageways (disassembly / installation of barriers separating traffic). After completion of the works, traffic will be carried as described above.
• on January 5, at 6:00 am, the carriageway towards Katowice will be closed, traffic will be directed to the carriageway towards Krakow. On the carriageway towards Krakow, there will be two narrowed lanes for traffic in the direction of Krakow and 2 narrowed lanes for traffic in the direction of Katowice.

 Completion of works is scheduled for November 2023.

RESURFACING AT MOTORWAY JUNCTIONS

• at the Mysłowice junction (km 346) - on the slip road from Mysłowice to Katowice narrowing to one lane. Completion of works is scheduled for mid-January 2023.
